Botha looks to bolster Old Boys

Kicking off the new season is player/coach South African Rhys Botha of Rainey Old Boys Rugby Club with the help of Ollie McShane Director of Rugby and Club President Ben Glancy.
THIS may be the time of the year when rugby players traditionally take a well deserved break from the game to recharge their batteries.
But the players and members of Rainey Old Boys are already looking forward to the start of another season and praying that they have better luck with injuries this time around.
Recently appointed Player/Coach Rhys Botha has been to the club to meet the players, officials and members and has been liaising with a recruitment committee who have left no stone unturned in their efforts to attract players to the club.
They are still in the market for an overseas player of guaranteed quality should a suitable target become available.
Botha has vast experience of AIL rugby as well as having played with and against some of the Southern Hemisphere's top names in the Currie Cup and in Super 12 Rugby earlier in his career. A native of Cape Town, he starred at centre for Western Province before going across to Bloemfontein in the Orange Free State where he played for the Cheetahs.
